Remote Culture Club gave us tangible frameworks and clear language to explain the challenges we had felt as a team but didn't know how to express to each other, let alone how to work on.”

Jake Slater
Jake leads the Remote Culture Club and helps every student and client we work with have a great experience. Like many of the people we work with, most of his remote experience has come since 2020. Having gone from remote work novice to evangelist himself, he’s driven to help others to do the same.
That’s a great question, and, it depends… You could approach this a few ways.
1. Invite a cross-section of people who lead or manage remote teams within your organisation to join. These could be people that you want to nurture to become experts in remote work and evangelists for how you want to operate as an organisation.
2. Share this training page with your organisation and invite anyone who wants to join to raise their hand (you could cap this at 10, 20, 50 people etc.).
3. Tell us what you’re trying to achieve by emailing team@remotecultureclub.com, and we can think it through together.
Hopefully! It’s worth a shot, right? You might say something like…
Hi there,
I want to take an online course for managers & leaders of mission-oriented remote teams. I’m writing to explain how me taking the course would be helpful for the organisation, and see if the organisation will cover the $197 cost.
Based on what I’ve seen, I believe I’ll be able to improve [add organisational learning, management & leadership, or other current goals here].
Here’s what’s I’d get from the course:
- Diagnose my specific remote leadership strengths and weaknesses
- Discover the universal tenets of effective remote teamwork
- Develop a personal remote strategy
- Debrief 1:1 with a remote culture advisor
You can view the full curriculum, testimonials, and other details here.
I think participating in this course would especially help me on these projects:
- [add project or initiative]
- [add project or initiative]
- [add project or initiative]
This is an interactive online course that I can take from anywhere, which means it won’t require time off, airfare, or lodging expenses.
The total cost, everything included, is $197.
Thank you for considering this.
Short answer, yes. Longer answer, definitely. Whether you’re distributed all around the world without any office space, have regional teams and offices, work in the same location some days and from home on others, or any other configuration, this course is for you.
This course will help you understand common dysfunctional dynamics that remote teams can experience (and what to do about them); understand the strategies and principles that great remote working teams use to collaborate effectively (even when working across different timezones); and tactics for managing yourself to leverage the opportunities remote work provides (and minimise stress and fatigue).
For each of the 4 weeks, you’ll need to spend 1-1.5 hours with the learning material. This includes time for you to watch, read, reflect, and complete exercises. You might want to block this time out in your calendar on the same day each week, or take smaller bites as you go, it’s up to you.
Let’s chat! Send us an email team@remotecultureclub.com and we can work it out together.
